Drexel High school Photography Contest
The contest is open to all high school students and will culminate in an exhibition at the photography program gallery in February 2017. High school students may enter all types of photographic processes (black/white, color, silver prints, digital prints, and historical processes). All submissions for the 2017 Drexel University High School Photography Contest must be submitted online to https://drexelphoto.slideroom.com and all submissions must be received by November 22, 2017. RULES OF ENTRY Applicants must submit their portfolio online at: https://drexelphoto.slideroom.com Deadline for entry is November 22, 2017. Artists must be a high school student in the United States. Applicants may upload 1-3 images (jpg). For good quality and fast uploads, image files should be sized no larger than 1280 px @ 72dpi. The slide room portal offers additional instructions for submitting work and helping new applicants get started. For technical assistance, access the help desk at slideroom.zendesk.com. There is a non-refundable processing fee of $10.00 payable online. |
Photography I Mr. Martin
Photography I is a half -year introductory class designed to introduce the student to all phases of Digital and Film photography.

Digital Photography: 1 Assignment per week: (IE: Cars, Stairs, Tools, Fall Foliage etc.)
Compositional Elements: All assignments will utilize compositional elements
Website design and Website Portfolio presentation: Every student will design and build their own Photography Portfolio Website (WEEBLY.COM)

Digital Camera (not a cell phone camera)A Single Lens Reflex (SLR) 35 mm camera is required.
This camera must have a manual mode or manual override
A 3 ring binder or folder with inside pocket flaps and loose-leaf paper for notes.
4G or larger Digital camera memory card
4G or larger Flashdrive
Most film, paper and chemicals will be provided.
